Check Your Credit Report Going Into 2023
With the start of the New Year, now is a great time to check your credit report. The following are examples of errors on your credit report that could stand in the way of you getting financing approved for a new vehicle, getting prequalified for a mortgage, approved for insurance or hired for a new job.
- Outdated information
- Clerical errors
- Identity Theft
- Incorrect criminal background checks
- Lists you as deceased
- Mixing your credit report with someone else’s credit report
If you find any of these errors on your credit report, you should send a written dispute to the credit reporting agencies.
