Length Of Time Adverse Account Remains On Credit Report
Negative (or adverse) accounts remain on a credit report for seven years, unless its a criminal or civil court record or a bankruptcy and they are longer. Check your credit report for any outdated accounts and send the credit reporting agencies a dispute letter to get them deleted. Contact Pine Street Legal for assistance in disputing those outdated accounts.
