When Can A Third Party View Your Credit Report?
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires that a third party must have a permissible purpose as defined by the FCRA in order to view your credit report. Some permissible purposes are: by court order, with your written agreement, in a credit transaction, insurance underwriting & employment purposes. If a third party does not have a permissible purpose when viewing your credit report, contact Pine Street Legal to discuss your rights.
