Tips For Creating Secure Passwords:
- Use long passwords-the more characters you use, the harder it is for hackers to crack your passwords;
- Make your passwords easy to remember-consider stringing to gather a few random words;
- But do not make them too simple-it is best to add in special characters, numbers, capital letters and spaces;
- Use multi-factor authentication (MFA) when you can-large sites let you opt for a two step login process;
- Create strong passwords and do not change them unless you have to;
- Avoid using personal information;
- Drop the common and default passwords-for example “1234”;
- Do not use a single word and one followed by a single number-for example “Password1”;
- Do not reuse passwords.
