Credit Report With Mixed/Merged Files
Now is a good time to check your credit report to make sure the information is correct. You can get a free credit report from Equifax, Experian and Trans Union, each, for free every 12 months at annualcreditreport.com. If you see information on your credit report that does not belong to you, this could mean that your credit information has been mixed or merged with someone else’s credit information. If someone’s credit information is on your credit report, this could mean that your credit information is on that person’s credit report. This sometimes happens when people’s names or social security numbers are similar. Contact Pine Street Legal for a free consultation to review your credit report with you and to assist you if someone else’s credit information has been mixed/merged with yours.
