Who Is Pulling Your Credit Report?
The Fair Credit Reporting Act, a federal law, requires that there must be a permissible purpose for someone to request that the credit reporting agencies, Trans Union, Equifax and Experian provide your credit report to them. To make sure your credit report is being properly provided to others, pull your credit report from annualcreditreport.com (free credit reports from Trans Union, Equifax and Experian , each, once every 12 months) and check out the Inquiry section. If you do not recognize an inquiry on your credit report as a creditor or potential creditor, the pull may be not have been permissible. Contact Pine Street Legal located at 19 S. Pine Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 for a free consultation to discuss your options. (215) 345-9214, nkanter@pinestreetlegal.com, pinestreetlegal.com.
